Seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, and months click off another year before you know it (unless you’re in grade school and then math class never ends)!  God has blessed us with a new year to serve Him by serving children.  Inside this newsletter are the names of precious men and women remembered by family and friends who made a gift in their memory.  These are in addition to Mother’s and Father’s Day donations acknowledged in an earlier newsletter.  These donations are an honor for the recipient while helping us provide quality services to the children we serve.  Thank you for remembering our children in this special way!

With 18 children in our program, we are at 90% capacity in our two homes.  Being “full” is an amazing testament to God’s desire to see children served at New Pathways for Children considering that on August 1, 2014, there were no children in our program.  Tragically, there are more children in crisis now than five years ago.  We want to serve additional children so our leadership team and Board of Directors are praying, studying, discussing, and seeking to understand what God has planned for our future.  God regularly demonstrates he is not finished with us as new opportunities abound!

New opportunities always present new challenges and this time in our history is no different!  Over the 28 year story of New Pathways for Children, there have been many challenges but God has faithfully guided each season and transition from new facilities to new programs to new directors!  There have been some turbulent times along the way but nothing caught our Heavenly Father by surprise.  No one cares more for hurting children than our great God!  Millions of children are suffering because a parent, family member, or caregiver is incapable (drug use), unable (incarcerated), or uninterested (neglect or abuse) in providing the loving, nurturing home children need.  New Pathways is standing in the gap to provide the care children deserve!

Together we are making a difference.  Your support of our program helps provide a loving home where each child’s physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs are met in a Christ-like atmosphere.  Children are healing from trauma, experiencing hope, and achieving new goals!  Since the beginning of the school year in August 2018 we have had four boys recognized as “Student of the Month” at Lowes Elementary!  Children are playing sports, participating in school programs, being enriched in music classes, riding horses, and blessed by special relationships with tutors and mentors.  More importantly, they are in worship and bible classes weekly, they memorize Scripture and pray daily, they are being taught God loves them and that His love is unconditional!  Your monthly, quarterly, or annual donation blesses the lives of the children in our program.

Pray for us to have the wisdom to discern where God is leading and for faith to follow without hesitation!  We are excited to experience what God has in store for us this year.

Grace and peace,

Ricky
