GIVING HOPE TO GOD'S CHILDREN
When you give to New Pathways you are doing more than helping us provide shelter, food, and clothing to needy children. You are giving hope to an innocent child living in a broken world and spreading the good news of Jesus.

NEW PATHWAYS FOR CHILDREN
New Pathways began in 1990 when concerned Christians in Western Kentucky were moved with compassion and motivated by love to provide better care for neglected, abandoned, and hurting children. The first home for girls was sponsored by Tennessee Children’s Home and established in Reidland under the name West Kentucky Children’s Home. Two years later Eldon and Emma Belle Gardner donated a 27 acre tract of land near Melber, Kentucky for the purpose of constructing a children’s home dedicated to providing care for boys in a Christian environment. The Gardner campus is a beautiful reminder of God’s creative and healing power. The Melber location consists of an administrative services office building, the Gardner house with living space for 15 boys, and the Schmidt building with accommodations for 12 boys along with a full gymnasium and large kitchen. Emma Belle’s Haven at The Gardner center is now the location of a home for girls with space to accommodate 14 female residents. New Pathways began as a private placement agency and for several years contracted with the Commonwealth of Kentucky in a partnership to care for children in state custody. Effective July 1, 2014, New Pathways no longer contracts with the state and is once again a private placement agency.
